The easiest, headache-proof way to use a custom domain for your tournament site is to purchase it directly through Event Caddy by logging in to your admin dashboard and selecting Event Website -> Custom Domain Name from the side navigation. From there simply follow the on screen instructions. The cost of the domain when purchased through Event Caddy is $30 USD/year. Note: A PRO tier subscription is required to use custom domains.

Once you've purchased your domain name, you'll need to setup your domain to "see" your Event Caddy tournament site. This can usually be done from your domain settings.
Once you login to your account with your domain provider you'll want to do the following:
Add a CNAME record for the domain you want to forward
Host: www
Points to: app.eventcaddy.com
Below is a sample configuration:
Then head to the Forwarding section and add forwarding from yourdomain.com -> https://www.yourdomain.com.
Finally, head back to Event Caddy and complete the setup if you haven't already under Event Website -> Custom Domain Name:
